Yoga: A Dimension Beyond the Physical

"Union" or YogaYoga For Beginners is a state of consciousness where a person experiences that everything is made of the same infinite silence and vibrant energy that is one's own consciousness. It is an awareness that can not be contrived, but naturally dawns with the practice of meditation. Recent scientific studies have correlated a specific style of highly coherent brain functioning with this experience during the practice of Transcendental Meditation. During this effortless technique the mind easily settles inward, transcending the active levels of thinking and experiences it's most expanded, silent, peaceful state.

This is the experience of "union" of the mind with it's source. It is the state of yoga or samadhi. With regular meditation it becomes infused in the mind so that even with eyes open, one experiences oneness with all that it perceived.
