"Campus Crusade For Christ" Drops "Christ" From Their Name?

In a recent article by Fox News, it was reported that:

"Campus Crusade for Christ International announced this week that it will change the name of its U.S. Operations to 'Cru' in early 2012."

Not only was the name changed, but the group's logo underwent a radical change. Here's the old logo:

And here's the new logo:

Which led one writer to sardonically post a graphic depicting how he thought the reasoning for this dramatic move on the part of Campus Crusade for Christ might have gone:

In our view here at Sola Sisters, we think this move by Campus Crusade for Christ falls under this category:

"But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven." (Matthew 10:33)
